A Brief Introduction of College
Hunan College Of International Business and Economics is located in Changsha, a famous city with great historical and cultural interests. HCIBE is a full-time tertiary institution under the approval of the People’s Government of Hunan Province, subordinate to Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce.
HCIBE is dedicated to develop students with profound knowledge and skills in international business theories, international business operational management, English competence, communication, cooperation skills and team working spirits for government bureaus, international trade enterprises, joint ventures, overseas enterprises and consultation agencies. Students will be able to acquaint with e-business operation and international business management practices.
The college commands more than 400 teaching faculty and staff members, among whom are 280 full-time teachers and 123 professors and associate professors, and 168 members have master’s and doctoral degrees. In addition, the college has employed 6 foreign teachers and invited renowned scholars and experts as visiting professors. Currently, over 6,000 students are studying on campus.
The college has 6 teaching departments, namely Department of International Business, Department of Business Foreign Language, Department of Moden Service Trade, Department of Business Information and Technology, Department of Common Basic Courses and Training Center. The college offers about 20 specialities such as International Business and Economics, Logistics Management, Business English, Applied Korean, Business Management, Computerized Accounting, Tourism Management, Computer Application Technology, E- business, etc.
There are science and technology hall, library, gymnasium and training center set up on campus. The library of the college has a collection of 600,000 volumes. HCIBE has modern teaching facilities such as multimedia room, audio room, multimedia lecture hall, etc. Practical teaching projects are special features of HCIBE, which including: International Trade Simulation, Accounting Simulation, Simulated Hotel, Simulated Tourism, etc.
Nowadays, HCIBE is endeavoring to intensify its interior management and administration in order to build itself into a renowned college ranking among the higher vocational education in the field of foreign trade.
