A Brief Introduction of Department of International Business

    In accordance with the demands of the economic construction and in line with international trade operations, the programs in Department of International Business are designed to produce qualified personnel in international corporations or enterprises. The department offers 4 specialties – International Business and Trade, Marketing, Logistics Management and E-business.
    Department of International Business has a teaching contingent consisting primarily of young and middle-aged teachers, with high educational level, high academic proficiency, and rich experience in practice. Well informed of the needs of China's market economy and the developments in foreign trade, teachers in the department constantly renew and update their knowledge and have actively involved themselves in various research and consulting activities. Expert as well as versatile, each teacher is able to give lectures in two to three courses. In addition, the department also invites specialists as well as scholars from other universities as guest professors.
    The department attaches great importance to academic research and has made some achievements in curriculum development and textbook compilation. To serve the national economic development, the department stresses the integration of research with practice. While maintaining its edge in traditionally strong specialties and featured courses, the department, for the purpose of improving the quality of teaching, constantly adjusts its curriculum design, updates its teaching contents, stresses innovations in teaching methods and means, and introduces computers and multimedia into classroom teaching.
